Why East Hills?
East Hills is situated for easy commuting to New York City and many Long Island locations. Shopping is minutes away at the renowned Americana boutiques on the Manhasset Miracle Mile on Northern Blvd and at the elite Wheatley Plaza in neighboring Greenvale. Also easily accessible are the Roosevelt Field Mall, The Source Mall, North Shore Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital (LIJ), and local universities like C.W. Post, New York Institute of Technology, Hofstra University and Adelphi University. The Long Island Railroad station at Roslyn, on the Oyster Bay Line, services the area.

With the addition of the recently opened “Park at East Hills,” the Village of East Hills has fast become one of the most desirable locations for families on Long Island. The exclusive Park, open to residents of the village only, is highlighted by a 12,000 square foot pool and 100 foot water park styled slide, including a restaurant and Italian tiled locker rooms. The Village has scheduled concerts including fireworks in past summers at the Park. There is also a dynamic Seniors’ program offered. Other amenities at the Park include:

The Village provides private security cars that patrol throughout all East Hills neighborhoods; this is in addition to Nassau County Police protection already in place. Even though East Hills is located on one of the highest points in Nassau County and even though the community is not in a flood zone, in December, 2005 the Village Board adopted measures that make Federal Flood Insurance available to all its residents.
Depending on residence location, East Hills residents may also participate in various programs offered by: The Town of North Hempstead or The Town of Oyster Bay.
